What a CrossFit Class Looks Like
Every class is coach led, structured, and designed to give you a productive workout without leaving you to figure everything out on your own.
- Warm Up: Get your body moving and prepare for the work ahead.
- Strength & Skill: Practice movements with coaching focused on technique, control, and proper form.
- Workout: Put those movements together in a constantly varied workout that challenges your strength and conditioning.
- Cool Down: Bring your heart rate down and finish with mobility or stretching.
You do not need to walk through the door already knowing how to do a clean, snatch, pull up, or handstand. That is what coaching is for.
CrossFit in Forked River
CrossFit combines strength training, conditioning, gymnastics, weightlifting, and constantly varied functional movements. The workouts change, but the goal stays the same: help you become stronger, fitter, and more capable.
At our Forked River location, coaches work with each member to scale movements, adjust weights, and modify workouts when necessary. A beginner and an experienced athlete can train in the same class while working at very different levels.
And that is one of the things that makes CrossFit work so well.
You are not competing against the person next to you. You are working toward becoming better than you were before.
For members living around Lacey Road, Route 9, Route 70, and the surrounding Forked River area, Andare’ provides a local place to train without having to drive across Ocean County for quality coaching.
Why Members Choose CrossFit
Inside a CrossFit Class
A CrossFit class at our Forked River location is built around more than simply getting sweaty.
Strength and Skill
Some days focus on a particular movement or strength exercise. You might work on squats, presses, deadlifts, Olympic lifting, gymnastics, or another functional movement.
The coach teaches the movement and gives you time to practice it.
The Workout
Then comes the workout.
Depending on the day, that could mean lifting, running, rowing, bodyweight movements, kettlebells, gymnastics, or a combination of several movements.
The workouts are challenging. They are also scalable.
Coaching and Recovery
Your coach is watching how you move and helping you make adjustments throughout class. The goal is to train hard without turning every workout into a test of how much punishment you can take.
Good training is something you can keep doing.

Coaches Who Know Your Name
A good CrossFit gym is not just about the workout written on the board.
The coach matters.
At our Forked River location, coaches work with beginners who are learning the movements for the first time and experienced athletes who want to push their limits. They can modify a movement, adjust the weight, or change the workout when something is not appropriate for you that day.
That personal attention makes a difference.
And over time, the people you train with become part of the experience too. You start recognizing faces, celebrating small improvements, and realizing that showing up is often the hardest part.
